Autumn Produce is the Pride of New York

As the days shorten, the golden light of autumn glints off the bounty of our local farms and we start to think more of turning on the oven and heating up our apartments with the delicious aroma and flavors of apples, pears, squash and beans. New York is all about autumn and we are so lucky to have a rich history of autumn crops, which the farmer's markets make abundently clear with the plethora of beautiful heirloom apples and perfect snappy pears brought to us from our friends upstate.

We've been in the kitchen concocting "butters" and preserves, trying to preserve this great time of year in a jar!
